GHRP-2
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2. Synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue. Potent GH release with moderate appetite and cortisol/prolactin increase.
Overview
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2. Synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue. Potent GH release with moderate appetite and cortisol/prolactin increase.
Effects on Markers
Elevates GH and IGF-1 levels, moderate increase in cortisol and prolactin post-injection (more than Ipamorelin, less than GHRP-6), mild appetite stimulation, may mildly elevate fasting glucose with prolonged use
Compound Guide
Structure: Synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue. Binds ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) on pituitary somatotrophs. More potent GH release than GHRP-6 per mcg.
Dosage:
- Standard: 100-200mcg 2-3x/day SubQ
- Combined with mod-GRF: 100mcg GHRP-2 + 100mcg mod-GRF per injection, 2-3x/day
- Conservative: 100mcg before bed
Administration:
- SubQ injection, 27-30g insulin syringe
- Best on empty stomach (30+ min before food)
- Space injections 3-4 hours apart if dosing multiple times daily
Key Notes:
- Stronger GH release per mcg than GHRP-6 and Ipamorelin
- Moderate cortisol and prolactin increase post-injection (transient, usually clinically insignificant)
- Less appetite stimulation than GHRP-6 but more than Ipamorelin
- Synergistic with GHRH analogs (mod-GRF, CJC-1295) — combined use amplifies GH pulse significantly
- Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, store refrigerated, use within 3-4 weeks
- Monitor: IGF-1, fasting glucose, prolactin (if using long-term)
