Nandrolone Decanoate
Long-ester 19-nor compound. Popular for mass and joint relief. Deca-Durabolin.
Overview
Long-ester 19-nor compound. Popular for mass and joint relief. Deca-Durabolin.
Suppresses HPTA strongly, can elevate prolactin significantly, generally gentler on lipids than most AAS, beneficial for joints, may remain detectable in blood tests for months after cessation
Compound Guide
Ester: Decanoate -- 10-carbon chain ester. Very slow release, taking 3-4 weeks to reach stable blood levels and a very long clearance time.
Dosage:
- Joint Support: 100-200 mg/week (sub-therapeutic for anabolism but provides joint relief via collagen synthesis)
- Enhancement: 300-600 mg/week for 12-16 weeks (always run with a testosterone base)
Injection Protocol:
- Inject 1-2x/week IM
- 25g needle, 1-1.5 inch, glutes/VG
Key Notes:
- 19-nor compound: can elevate prolactin -- monitor and have Cabergoline or P5P on hand
- Extremely long detection time (18 months) -- plan accordingly
- Must stop Deca at least 4 weeks before ending testosterone to allow clearance before PCT
- HPTA recovery is harder and slower with 19-nors compared to testosterone alone
- Provides significant joint relief through increased collagen synthesis
- "Deca dick" is usually from prolactin elevation or improper T:Nandrolone ratio -- keep Test higher than Deca
