PED Notes
Important for energy, recovery, nerve function, and red blood cell production. Deficiency causes fatigue, neurological symptoms, and elevated homocysteine (cardiovascular risk). Critical for homocysteine metabolism alongside Folate and B6.
Supplements:
- Methylcobalamin (active B12) -- 1000mcg/day sublingual
- Or B12 injections -- common in bodybuilding community for energy
Note: Ensure adequate B12 alongside Folate and B6 to keep homocysteine in check
