Cabergoline
Dopamine agonist. Used to control prolactin on 19-nor cycles.
Overview
Dopamine agonist. Used to control prolactin on 19-nor cycles.
Lowers prolactin, powerful dopamine agonist. Used alongside Nandrolone/Trenbolone to prevent prolactin-related sides.
Compound Guide
Mechanism: Potent, long-acting dopamine D2 receptor agonist. Suppresses prolactin secretion from the pituitary. Very long half-life allows twice-weekly dosing.
Dosage:
- Prophylactic (on 19-nor cycle): 0.25 mg 2x/week
- Therapeutic (elevated prolactin): 0.25-0.5 mg 2x/week
- Only use when prolactin is confirmed elevated via blood test, or clear symptoms are present
Administration:
- Oral tablet, with or without food
- Twice-weekly dosing (e.g. Monday/Thursday)
Key Notes:
- Only needed on 19-nor cycles (Nandrolone, Trenbolone) or with confirmed elevated prolactin
- Symptoms of high prolactin: erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia, low libido, nipple discharge (rare), mood changes
- P5P (active Vitamin B6, 50-100mg/day) is a milder first-line option for mild prolactin elevation
- Very potent drug -- start low (0.25mg 2x/week) and only increase if needed
- Can cause nausea, dizziness, and fatigue, especially when first starting
- Do NOT use without confirmed indication -- unnecessary dopamine agonism is not benign
- Recheck prolactin 4-6 weeks after starting to confirm adequate control
